Welcome to The Cotswold Arms. We are a family run, atmospheric 15th century pub set within the medieval town of Burford, who are proud to serve a fine selection of local ales and homemade food. We are locally known as The Coty and renowned for being a perfect combination of relaxation and liveliness, making us a popular establishment with both visitors and locals of Burford, in the Cotswolds. Hosting a range of talented and entertaining artists for live music nights on Friday and Saturday evenings followed by a perfect family Sunday lunch. A weekend in The Cotswolds? From the moment you step through the door, this pub radiates charm and character. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between lively and laid-back — buzzing enough to feel social, yet cozy enough to relax and unwind. The interior blends classic wooden furnishings with a touch of modern flair, and the warm lighting makes it feel instantly welcoming. The staff deserve special mention: friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. You’re never left waiting too long for a drink, and their recommendations are always spot-on — whether it’s a local craft ale. The food is every bit as impressive as the drinks. From hearty pub classics like fish and chips and steak pie to fresh seasonal dishes that wouldn’t feel out of place in a fine-dining restaurant, everything is cooked to perfection and served piping hot. The Sunday roast, in particular, is a must-try — tender meats, crispy roast potatoes, and rich gravy that ties it all together beautifully. What really sets this pub apart, though, is its sense of community. In short, this isn’t just a pub — it’s a little pocket of warmth, laughter, and great taste. Great pub and a lucky choice for our family as the private room was perfect for 15 of us. Good pub food and fun atmosphere. Live music in bar was a bonus and soo good. Kizzy, the landlady and her team looked after us superbly and deserves priase for maintaining a proper Cotswold pub with lively atmosphere and no thoughts of becomimg too posh like so much in the area. Dont go unless you can stand happy chatter, music and the sound of people having fun.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Proper Cotswolds Gem! We had a fantastic experience at The Cotswold Arms in Burford — a true country pub full of charm, character, and genuine hospitality. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and you could tell they genuinely care about their guests having a great time. The food was hearty and delicious — classic pub favourites done really well, with generous portions and great flavour. The Sunday roast was a particular highlight, and the locally sourced ingredients made all the difference. Great selection of beers and wines too, with something for everyone. The pub itself is full of cosy touches and historic character, with a lovely beer garden that’s perfect for a sunny afternoon. If you're passing through Burford or exploring the Cotswolds, The Cotswold Arms is an absolute must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!
