Sam picked up his first guitar at age 7 and within 1 week had begun to learn and work out the melodies and intuitively found his own voicings to strum these songs of choice. By age 12 Sam had now mastered the guitar and this natural homegrown ability had lead to a local following as he busked through the streets of Cheltenham and Gloucester.Sams early talent was harnessed and managed by his mother who would both act as a tour manager and book local gigs.
Later that year news of this child prodigy had reached the ears of BBC radio executives in Gloucester whereby a live session was arranged which later lead towards Sam being crowned the youngest ever winner on the “Undiscovered Youth Talent Show”Sams early love of Michael Buble lead to a collection of covers which showcased his Vocal and Guitar ability.
At age 14 Sam moved on to acoustic guitar, drums and keys which thus naturally lead to the pen to record his own compositions.
By chance in the summer of 2013 Sam was discovered busking in Cheltenham by Canadian Songwriter/Producer Mark Tremaine whom had briefly re-located to the area and was instantly taken by his vocal tone,R&b influences and raw guitar ability.
A flyer of the aspiring artist was exchanged however contact was lost until by chance a year later on hearing the familiarty of Sams voice echoing down the local high street by the Producers young daughter a meeting was immediately arranged to work on material.
Within 2 weeks Mr Tremaine flew Sam to Hamburg Germany for a test run work on some on some demos.
On this writing Trip Sam performed a medley of current hits including Ed Sheeran at the famous Stage Club which included various AR and Music executives with which after a rapturous applause and double encore Mr Tremaine knew Sam had the live prescence and showmanship to bring their material to the world stage.
The writing partnership was then forth solidified as Tremaine also believed in developing and intergrating Sam as a
Writer within Tremendous Music and to craft his ability to make material accessible to other Artists.
In August 2014 the songs created during theses writing trips Lead to a deal with TBS Entertainment and the first steps were made towards the EP due for release in 2015. Current influences on the current set range from The 1975,Don Broco,Ben Howard,Ed Sheeran,Jamie Cullen, and Australian Singer Songwriter Matt Corby. Sam Jones is currently working with Tremaine,Marcus Brosch,Tobias Neumann amongst others.
